The Long List
My links list is primarily made up of a lot of artists' websites (there are only just a handful of story sites with TF stories that are actually good). Of course, anyone who wants to point me to a TF story site that I might find halfway decent, email me and I'll take a look at it.
Basically, if a given site makes the Long List, then I personally recommend that particular site. Needless to say if it makes the Short List (that list of links you see on the index), I am near to guaranteeing you that, if you are into TF and especially werewolves, visiting this site will be a pleasure for you.
One thing that won't get you on this list is you being a person who has pissed me off once or twice and has not repented for it (I'm just playing around, really, but if you've been mean to me don't expect candy and flowers either).
- The Art of Pilot - He ain't very accommodating and he rarely does requests or commissions, and he puts up new artwork every time the planets align themselves, but when he does, you will purposely want to come back for the next two weeks just to take another peek at them.
- Pop's Transformation Art - This artist retired from the TF field to pursue other interests related to art, but what remains is an artwork archive filled with beautiful pics that will inspire any TF lover. Guest art includes the likes of Ranzab and Ian Williams.
- The Process - Women are beautiful creatures for all men to behold, and the proprietor of The Process, named Lorekeep, attempts to make women even more appealing by archiving pictures, stories, and other resources concerning the transforming of the female species.
- Howler's Den - The HTML is terrible, there's two or three exclamation marks after every sentence, and there's a picture of what seems to be a catgirl with a caption that makes absolutely no sense. But his one story on his site tells me that, as a writer, he has promise.
- LeoLooney's Den - Leo is perhaps one of the best TF artists you DON'T know about. The keeper of the den is much more fluent in Spanish than he is fluent in English, but since when did that stop anyone from feasting their eyes on some quality anime-like werewolf art?
- X-FORMATIONS - One of the few mainstream sites I am happy to add, its owner Ian Williams is talented in all forms anime and TF. He is privy to transforming the Sailor Scouts into animals, and while the method, he has developed a original style demonstrated in his artwork.
- Werecreatures - You will not find a TF archive larger and more widely known than the one Werekatt maintains. As it is frequently updated, there's always something new to check out, leaving you wondering if the world will ever run out of TF (and it shouldn't, at that).
- Freak Aspect - Sideshow Lew is another photomanipulator that has just recently come on to the TF scene. Scratch that...he has exploded onto the TF scene (not literally, though)! He's got for you some photomanipulations of half-human half-animals females that you really shouldn't miss.
- The PF Guild - More transformed females! Owners Lars and Nexus T. have assembled their artwork and the artwork of several other photomanipulators to bring you some of the best quality TF photomanipulations you can find, even lessons for budding young artists too!
- Nightcatcher's Den - Now, I really have no problem with stories containing M/M yiffs, but I really think he oughta continue writing the Adrian and Katherine saga! The hopefully neverending-story between two young werewolf lovers is a storyline you should read even if only once.
- Kurt's Transformation Art - Here is an artist that absolutely REFUSES to update his site until people write descriptions about the pics he has on his site (he hasn't updated in five-plus months), but like Pilot, when/if he updates, you'll want to be there to see it.
- Wolf-Max's Den of Despair - Wolf-Max likes Pokemon and anime altogether, and he mixes the two with the world of TF well with a treasure trove of artwork from canines to felines, even half-animals who closely resemble Sailor Scouts. A site for TF and anime lovers alike.
- TF Central - Perhaps one of the largest link lists dedicated to TF. But on this website you'll find more than just links. Web polls, a top 25 list, website reviews, even a place for announcements compliment TF Central very well (and those quotes at the top will probably make you laugh, too).
- Doc's Lab - Few sites have been on TransFUR for almost as long as TransFUR's been around. Doc's is one of them. Actually, as a longstanding member of TransFUR he is on his fourth incarnation of his website, which has always featured stories and art related to TF.
- Transformation Forum - I recommend this forum because every now and then you can find info about TF on TV, the Internet, or in print. But if you do decide to participate in the forum, DON'T EVER DARE oppose those who have made a name for themselves in the forum. Trust me.
- Naga's Den - Naga is an artist who styles herself as a half-human, half-snake creature. Her sense of humor is often displayed through her comic and entertaining artwork. On top of her personal works, she too maintains a huge link list dedicated to the craft of TF.
- TransFUR - Yes, I have to include TransFUR in here because, once upon a time, I was a nobody who thought he could TF stories. They gave me free space to fool around with and now here I am. Recommended to all because of the extensive list of TF fans with space on TransFUR.
- transform.to - TransFUR, however, is not accident-free. In the past year it has been prone to shutdowns sometimes due in part to the sometimes-incompetence of its webmasters. transform.to is my backup, and they too provide free space to all TF writers and artists.
- Transformation Stories by Silver - This writer has talent, even though I have been lax in telling him every time he sent me a new story of his. Like myself, Silver lover werewolves (and Gold Digger too) and has written a couple of nice stories about them.
- TF-Ring - This WebRing is one of the foundations of the TF community. Over 160 sites (though 1/4 of them is dedicated to transgender resources) link to this particular WebRing, proving to all that TF has become one of the Internet's best kept secrets.
- Mia's Index of Anthro' Stories - Miavir is to the furry community what Webster is to the English language. He has endured Real Life to sacrifice countless hours to index over two thousand furry stories, including many transformation stories that no one should go without reading.
- Shadow's Den of the Supernatural - When you want resources on werewolves, vampires, and other creatures of the paranormal, click on this site. Besides Shadow's artwork, this site hosts stories, an online comic, free email accounts, and even a section called the Werepersonals.
