...Episode submitted by Area82 on Sun Jul 24 13:02:13 2011 Return to Parent Episode "I dunno, I just can't see any way of making it work personally. A force of nature as that is extremely difficult to counter. Stealing her weapon doesn't seem like it can believably happen. (Seriously, anyone want to just try taking Death's Scythe in any incarnation?)" In many cases, Grim got his scythe stolen in "Grim Adventures of Billy and Mandy". If you want your character less powerful, you got to let go of things you want to hang on. She isn't exactly an original type of Valkyrie, and it is okay to downplay her strengths and add a few weaknesses to add in a bit more realistic effect. It is basically like the other characters in the story, including Shadoe Fae who power depends on either light or trapping someone in her shadow veil (limits depends by the amount of light in the area). Tiffany's teacher would actually be weak against Shadoe Fae, since she used light energy and Mrs. Crawford have already been purified of her negative energy. "There is no enemy she has to fight as yet. She is hardly trapped in her new world and can return to her old one with a thought. Also this is not exactly a superhero story, but feels a bit more... surrealistic? Fantastical? Not really sure on the word." That isn't entire true, though I'm not talking about the superhero's variety of enemies. Most likely there will be bullies and plain old criminals, and who know if there are any agents of the 'Enemy' in the net. But, there is also those who might get the wrong idea about her and attack her, putting her into a place where she must fight against both the bad guys and the good guys. And, of course there is also quiet moments where she doesn't fight anyone except for her 'inner' demons. "I'm afraid I'm not a fan of complete, irrevocable total mental change either as it feels too much like a character, in this case Kyle, was killed. I tried my best to put a little bit of himself to the end but.. yeah. Kyle died (Which would be a fitting cost to the gain of such power I guess)." Yeah, but who said that she have that much power in the beginning. I mean, while her new mindset and abilites might give her a bit of an edge, she would still need to practice developing her power and how to used it properly. "Not to say I'll give up on the character. It's a wild card for a potential future situation if it should come up." Heh, that good, I would hate to see her disappear just after she became canon in the story. | |
