Feels too deus ex Machina like. I think it has been saved as plausible though, given Robert herself has realised this and it would reflect on her faith. I agree 4 to 1 odds is not a fight Robert could have won. My original portrayal was that these guys were cowards, so certainly wouldn't have murdered her. I had hoped it might just end up with her being beaten up, not something quite so crazy as this- not that I mind of course. If these guys are murderers, Robert had no chance. Robert I felt had been through a lot. A death threat right now on him is just a little too early in the day In my humblest opinion- but it's certainly character building. Since we are taking the portrayal that they attempted murder with (convenient) video evidence to back it up, I think they would get life without a prayer. Robert wouldn't have to do anything. The cops have enough. It's not a bad event... but it is severely limiting for future events if these angels can pretty much stop anyone and anything from happening. It's unfair to me as a writer, that these characters can just stop any drama I might make. It's not the first time it's happened, but it is the first time without any lead up that these characters were around, and instantly shut down any possible path's I might take to that story if I accepted the chapter (which I have as it was well written, despite my personal views on the events.)
