Right.Episode submitted by The_Weirdo on Wed Sep 21 18:23:07 2011 Return to Parent Episode Plus - the theory would go - the cops MIGHT be a bit lenient on it anyways, given that Lucas was caught on camera defending someone and all (law sometimes bends to the whims of publicity). I actually had an idea for a minor interaction between Lucas and a cop, going as such: Lucas would none-too-subtly threaten some Purifiers who began to start trouble, only to have a cop, maybe the bear sargeant himself, telling him they will handle it and - also subtly - that Lucas shouldn't get into trouble as they would have to arrest him and "be forced to" check his identification. Lucas would then smirk, tell the cop "You guys are no fun" (in a joking way) and sit down and let the cops handle it, maybe recommending to one of the cops some meat dish or something ("Dude, as a bear, you should really visit Brazil. There are all-you-can-eat barbecue places, you'd have a blast. You want me to, I'll take you there.") It would mark a few things, namely: 1- The cops do not feel all that obliged to arrest Lucas, but will if need be; 2- Lucas has to learn not to practice vigilantism in the vicinity of cops (and he would learn it then and there); 3- Neither the cops nor Lucas really have it in for one another, but the cops still have the authority and will uphold the law - with some lenience, granted; 4- Lucas herself doesn't resent the cops, and will treat the matter as a bit of a joking one, though he won't be outright disrespectful. The cop may or not find it funny (most likely not), but isn't one to be irked by this kind of thing either. | |
