When Does "The Bench" Take Place?

I have a question. I noticed that early in the story, it's being implied that the story takes place in the morning before school, but in more recent episodes, it's been implied that it's after school (for example, Jay and his friends are walking home). Is this a discrepancy, or have hours passed by? I was under the impression that no more than one hour had passed since Jon woke up on the bench.

I think a little more than that.
