And, well, angels of vengeance aren't exactly known for their pacifism (the sword is part of her change anyways - she can even hide or change it, but not be away from it, and she was acting as security detail, so...) Also, as said in TV Tropes, Good Is Not Nice. Heck, Lucas may well soon crack jokes about "Well, moron attacked me, now he doesn't get to run treadmills anymore" if she finds out she cut off the leg of an attacker or something. It's not that she's not good - she is clearly only raising the sword in self-defense and she is clearly on the good side - it's just that, well, like everyone, she's flawed. She has a mean side, one that will surface if people attack her or act too unreasonable. She's even rather vengeful, yes. In this one example, even good people might well go "serves him right for attacking me", I'd think, but that's besides the point. This entire paragraph is an example, granted, but the fact remains that, well, good is not nice. Hmm | |
