I've basically got to agree with Area82 re: the setup. The actually content of Cass's analysis is good stuff, but everything leading up to it feels forced and random, especially considering that she's a social-studies teacher and wouldn't have any reason not to simply discuss the issue with her class. Jon is a bit worried about it, yes, but that doesn't mean that it has to be a direct response to that.

Also, while the bit about Mary tipping her hand is interesting, I'm not sure that it's the time for it, and I'm not sure she'd be that blunt about it.
