Greeks were a geographically diffuse people and even core aspects of their shared mythos could diverge accordingly. Artemis is primarily known as patron of the hunt, but other forms like the Ephesian Artemis had strong fertility over tones. Artemis was also often a patron of healing (and simultaneously giver of plagues), and in the guise of Selene, eastern Greeks considered her a moon Goddess.
