I'm not opposed to the idea of a character trying to explore their cosmology. But it is a quest of absolutely epic proportion.

Stories of sleeping gods do have basis in the real world. Also when Lilly was with that strange woman, I got the impression she didn't just meet her, she was within her. Even with such a powerful interaction, as a 'normal' she can not remember that interaction, except possibly at a subconscious level. She can not even go there herself in the dream world.

The idea I have had is that unless one is trained, there is no way to remember the influence of a god, or if a god was involved at all. The only exceptions would be those with a special connection, such as Artemis, 'possibly' the magic girls, and of course those who wield the elemental wishes.

I could be mistaken but this might exist in some beliefs of the real world.
