The Cloud doesn't erase memoriesEpisode submitted by pakkwiman on Fri Sep 16 02:58:02 2011 Return to Parent Episode I didn't look at your other branch when I prepared to write this episode. I thought Nadine should remember something because Anonymous51 established that those affected by the Cloud would retain their memories (emphasis mine): The cloud changed their lifestyle to something completely different. All of reality had also changed around them - their environment, their family, their friends, their occupation ... all to match their new lifestyle. But the cloud kept their memories intact, so that they would always remember the reality before they were changed. It made things more ... interesting. This episode is directly before your "The Cloud: Memories aren't Everything 2" which begins the branch leads up to the Paul-Nadine scene. So it is in the continuity in question, and I interpret it to mean that Nadine should know what's going on. To reconcile the above passage with Nadine's apparent loss of memory in your episodes, I assumed that Nadine still remembered her old self but had quickly and deeply buried it beneath her new persona. BTW, I'm upset because I was excited to come back to FB and I thought I did my homework writing this episode, and then the first thing I see is "Continuity Error" even though I don't think I did anything wrong. I feel like I've come home after a long trip to find a sign saying "Error" posted on my door. Not very welcoming. I didn't think you did anything wrong either, since IIRC, none of your episodes explictly state that Nadine remembers nothing. Behaving in complete accordance with her new character doesn't rule out something left in the back of her mind. Hence my repressed memory hypothesis. If I've misunderstood your intent, please let me know. Thanks. Sorry Apparently Some Confusion Here | |
