Maybe it came off that way, but I didn't mean that everyone changed by the Cloud would retain their memories. I meant that only the ones that were touched by the Cloud would retain their memories. Technically, everyone could change due to the Cloud touching someone, so that could mean (by your assessment) that everyone would retain their memories, but what I wrote was meant to mean that only the people touched by the Cloud would remember the reality before they were affected.
