Where to from here?Episode submitted by nothingsp on Fri Oct 28 06:37:49 2011 Return to Parent Episode Coming back to this and rethinking it, I find that I'm not really 100% satisfied with the way that went, either. I've talked with Weirdo a bit, here's the question we came away with: it sounds like your dissatisfaction with the course of events goes back a ways. Do you want to go back to an earlier point and fork the storyline? This is a serious suggestion; I'm entirely okay with the idea, and Weirdo is open to the possibility as well. This was your subplot to begin with, and if it took a different course that you're really unhappy with, it might be nice to have another go at it. I'd rather put in a little extra work and have all parties come out more or less happy than have you or one of the other authors be stuck with something really unsatisfactory for the sake of saving ourselves the trouble. If you want to do this, we could. We could go back to the start of the protest (or perhaps before) and work our way back forward on a different tack, and reincorporate sections that still fit from the existing chapters. (Most of the material for the other concurrent storylines, for example, wouldn't need to be changed.) I really want to know what your feelings are on this; seems like a big part of the problem here was a communication failure, and I'd like to avoid seeing that repeated. ... I appreciate the offer | |
