The one "purifying" -4 would be 4, of course. As for having someone there to RESTRAIN -4 while 4 purifies her, I have a nice idea for my char doing it that would work with the plot and so on. My char might hold her back to be purified or whatever; she'd not be the one purifying her (especially because, as angels go, my char is WAAAAAAAAAAAAY more Chaotic Neutral than Lawful Good) ;). Basically, yes, my char would work quite well to hold off the attack.

As for it being excessive... Let me put it this way. It's not that I think it's excessive: Lucas has power, is one out of about 3 with considerable amounts of it that I can recall off the top of my head (and one of those 3, the big demon boss guy, is way more well-suited for attack), is fairly likely to be around that place (as the church is her entrance to the town) and - basically - would be "explainable" and quite coherent. At least I believe so. I worry about Mary-Sue-isms with Lucas "saving the city and a huge chunk of the state", but my judgment may be clouded by my proximity to the char. So I want you folks to be the judges. Basically: I don't know what to think and I trust you guys to help me with the decision. I want a consensus. I'll write it if Lucas helps with restraining -4 (as I have the scene on my mind), but I won't get offended at all if someone else from the chars is chosen for that job. :)

In short: Some good arguments can be made for having Lucas do the restraining; what I worry about is Mary-Sue-ism. If you guys believe that worry is unfounded or that the story works well with it anyways, I'll use Lucas. :)
