I'm afraid I can't write it all that well, though - I'm just not that well-versed in how children in America act or speak. I don't think a re-write is needed. Your writing was realistic, accurate and correct. The bad taste in my mouth doesn't stem from bad writing, it stems from a dark situation that was unavoidable. It would, however, be equally realistic for Stacy to point out that Lilly wouldn't be all that likely to obey them - and that they can't just move her from school to school in the hopes of finding a school without a magical girl in it - and for Stacy, who REMEMBERS narrative immunity from when SHE watched these shows, to raise the point of narrative immunity. This mix of 1 discussed and 4 invoked could then result in 3, with Stacy herself saying she'll protect Lilly. Just to reiterate... | |
