Yeah...Zoe is one of those characters like Sarah whom I try to write noticeably different from the way they're usually portrayed, because it seems they get a lot of cheap one-note characterizations; Sarah is almost always either a dumb bitch or some Machiavellian monster, and Zoe's just about inevitably stand-offish and unpleasant for no good reason. So I try and make Sarah show some nuance and character growth, and Zoe is more agreeable, if not particularily social (I like the way she needles at Jon every now and again, in a snarky-little-sister kind of way.)

The problem with writing for Zoe is that she just doesn't have that much going on, plot-wise - she's more or less okay with her change, Athena doesn't seem to be having too much trouble either, and neither of them intersect with the other plots that often, so she mostly shows up through occasional interactions with the other characters.
