One proposition...Episode submitted by The_Weirdo on Thu Dec 15 19:39:06 2011 Return to Parent Episode One proposition I have is that - basically - all or nearly all deities exist. It wouldn't be much fun to have Lucas go "Uhm, Robert, sorry to say this, but I've been with the goddess that controls the universe. Yeah, uhm, the Christian God isn't real." to Robert or something, see? Alternatively, they could be partly based on belief and partly based on an existing essence. As such, Selene, Selune from Forgotten Realms, Luna, the Wiccan Goddess, Chandra from the Hindu myths and so on would be sorta the same person, looked at by different peoples and cultures, given power in a different way by different people - and maybe even with slightly different "personalities" depending on the name by which she is called. And so on for other deities. The same could be true for the "main" god, the "omnipotent" one... Anyways, feel free to add more thoughts/objections. We'll have to flesh out the cosmology, and I'll be sure to wait for it to be fairly agreed on before moving on. | |
